Daniel’s Personal Mission Statement

Daniel joined Watkins Uiberall, PLLC in 2000. As a Member, Daniel leads the firm’s Not-for-Profit Services practice, possessing expertise in the unique accounting needs of nonprofit organizations. Daniel specializes in audits of nonprofit organizations, tax compliance and single audit compliance engagements, with an emphasis on social service organizations, arts organizations, educational institutions and religious organizations. His clients also include manufacturing companies and other closely-held businesses. During his tenure at the Firm, his expertise in the nonprofit industry has contributed to the Firm’s rapid growth in this niche area.
As part of his commitment to providing the highest quality service to his clients, Daniel attends the annual Not-For-Profit Industry Conference in Washington, DC sponsored by the AICPA, as well as other continuing education courses affecting his clients. In 2020, he was appointed by the AICPA to the Not-For-Profit Expert Panel. Daniel also serves as a speaker at Momentum Nonprofit Partners in Memphis and other venues in the community on accounting and other current issues affecting nonprofit organizations.
Additionally, Daniel serves as the Firm’s Director of Quality Control. In this leadership role, he writes policy, and monitors and tests the Firm’s compliance with professional standards. He also provides leadership for the audit department and is responsible for planning, reviewing, and managing audit engagements.
Daniel attributes his success to a strong work ethic and the Firm’s support in the role of professional development, providing strong mentors, a continuous learning environment, and opportunity for achievement.
Daniel is a native of Memphis and currently resides in Lakeland, Tennessee with his wife Kathy and two daughters. When away from the office, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing racquetball, biking, and singing at his church.
